Overview

I was hired as a Social Media Manager for Frog and Peach Pub in downtown San Luis Obispo. I am in charge of the Instagram and am to promote live shows, specials and any events management wants me to promote.

  • Frog and Peach is a bar located in downtown San Luis Obispo, CA. being in a college town their largest customer base is the student population. Their bar is a dive bar and holds live shows three days a week.

  • I am tasked to post and highlight live shows every week. I design flyers and create digital assets to use as templates for my weekly posting schedule. Additionally, I post stories of the band performing.

    I track analytics and see what performs well and how to adjust posting schedule to best times to post.

Design Work

I design posts to promote the bands performing every week. I either receive posters from the bands themselves or I design.

Layout Adaption

I use posters and designs I create for stories or other sizes. I then am able to adjust the designs so they work for multiple aspect ratios.

Using Meta Business I track analytics. This is from my first quarter working. I was able to increase reach, interaction and views substantially. Additionally, I make sure that the content I am making is focused on the right demographics which are young adults in San Luis Obispo, CA. Analytics are a helpful metric in determining if strategy and posts are doing well.

One of the most important takeaways from the top performing is that posts with people in them do the best. People like to be seen on the socials, and like to see people they know. It gets the most engagement as well as shows that the bar is a community driven establishment.

Additionally, this is my favorite part of my job. Taking photos of people and being able to promote the bar successfully through engaging with the customer base.
